  1. Anti-semitism in modern society.
  2. since 2016, there has been a drastic increase in hate speech and overall anti-semitism in America. I think part of the way to stop this hate is to understand where it comes from
  3. How hate is cultivated in societies/how it grows to such a boiling point where there are nazi rallies.
  4. I think my target audience is adults who think anti-semitism isn’t real as well as those who are as scared of Neo-nazis as I am.
  5. Mostly book/online research. Vice news has done a lot with analyzing hate groups so I think they would be a good resource to go to.

  1. Jacob, you’re a draft behind the curve here as we are currently moving from draft two (which should advance your paper by establishing your setup with an engaging entry into the topic and your question(s) about it.

One thing you might consider in terms of the genesis of hate is that generally hate is connected with fear. We hate what threatens our own well-being or security. We hate what threatens our advantage or position. We hate what might upend our spot on the food chain or our entitlement. And, we sometimes hate what we do not understand. Rather than try to understand one another we strike out at what is unknown or unfamiliar.
