In God, we trust.
What a patriotic saying! Coined on the currency that we handle with our privileged palms and exchange for goods and services. In God, we must trust because what else are we to do? What else are they to do, oh God? People of color trust in You to keep them safe, but You seem to let them down time and time again. Queer people trust in You to validate them and to bring them love, but your followers seem to be pushing another agenda. Children trust in You, Almighty God, to keep their families together. Instead, they are caged.
In God, she trusted. She spoke the truth, and you ignored her. I hope you didn’t get the words mixed up, God, You see, it’s “stand by her” not “bystander.” I’m afraid You read the latter. Women trusted in you, God, and you let them down, denied them. 50 of your disciples were deceived by the Devil that day. In You, she trusted. Christine trusted You.
In God, we trust, no fuck that. God is a bust. I’m tired of trusting something that fails me and my brothers and sisters too much. Show some results, God. Bring those corrupted politicians to justice. They took Adam’s rib and crushed it, and you stood by to watch. Bystander. They caged your creations. Your children! And you stood by to watch. All powerful my ass. You are nothing more than a coward fueled by your followers falling for your empty promises of paradise.
In god, we trusted.
