Overall, they are all very impressionistic to me. They capture a moment in time with a photo and then use this long form of essay writing with a poetic tone to explain the photo/memory more.
My Favorite: “ONE Day | Paradise Valley, AZ” by Marissa Roth
I just love the minimalism of the photo to begin with. It’s gorgeous, using the pop of color from the vase with the light spilling on it to make it the focus of the photo.
The essay is also just gorgeous. I really enjoyed these because it was like I got to look into the lives of the authors. It was so real and raw and abstract.
